Angus McLellan is an award winning filmmaker who has been immersed in the world of independent filmmaking since 2001. As a Director, his short films, television content and music videos have been screened and won awards at festivals, and have been broadcast on Much Music, CMT, Rogers Television, and internationally as far as the Caribbean and Europe.

A perpetual student of the art of filmmaking, McLellan’s style pays homage to the great cinematographers of the silent era, mixing a heavy contrast of shadows against subtle spots of light, recreating onscreen the balances of life.

His goal as a filmmaker is to expand the role of the “movie” and redefine how Canadians view homegrown cinema, all while creating works which are emotionally and intellectually stimulating.
